We offer our visitors a variety of approaches to the rich cultural and philosophical history of Jena around the year 1800. Historical places – such as the little house outside the city's walls bought by Friedrich Schiller in 1797 and the Goethe-Laboratorium in the inspector's house of the Botanical Garden – and their unique material belongings enable experiences that appeal to all senses and thus make historical and scientific contexts aesthetically comprehensible.

Schiller's Gartenhaus offers specific guided tours of the house and garden, lectures and small »workshops« as well as supplementary educational materials.
